People should take the following with pe Igo8, you need the primo version when using windows CE, the.exe file should be in the root directory. C: Igo8.exe Secondly the Primo version. IGO Primo CE supports devices that have 320x240, 480x 234 (very rare), 480x272 and 800x480 screen resolutions. Make sure that the Primo you download supports YOUR resolution. Not all downloads have a multires data.zip, often only a 480272 or 800480. If your resolution is not supported, Primo won't start. How do you know?
Update Windows Ce Device
Many people who own Eonon GPS are not clear that except our built in map, what other map software can be used in our unit, now we would like to introduce to you. Until now, we know the following maps can be used in Eonon: POLNAV, IGO, Tomtom.

1. POLNAV is the built in Eonon map. We use the latest legal edition of POLNAV map! Different from other no brand GPS, we are using the legal map! It's the latest legal edition from POLNAV.
2. IGO is another map which can also be used in Eonon.

'I was able to install the iGo8 Navigation software from Navngo! Also loaded up Caifornia Maps and am using this awesome GPS Navigation software. It's muc better than Smart2Go in my opinion and has tons of options!! PM me if anyone wants it and wants to give it a shot. I was also able to run TomTom 5.2 but Maps were inaccessible as the software expects them to be in the My Documents folder. So, I accessed the WinCe shell by getting to explorer (contact me for exact steps) and now my PNA is aso a PDA! How awesome is that?? So, now I boot into a Windows CE desktop interface and can launch my iGo GPS Navigation software from within (using a shortcut).'
'The unit runs WinCE 4.2 and the version of iGo8 that I have is for PDAs, PNAs and WinCe4.2 and up devices. All one has to do is install the application to the root of the 2GB SD card and add the appropriate line i the YFAUTORUN.INI file. I have mine as SDMMCiGO8iGO8.exe this instructs the Navigation Startup Screen to point to iGo8.exe in the iGo8 folder n the SD card. That's it..it loads up, discovers the GPS satellites and off you go! I have the California Maps, POIs and all the 3D Terrains loaded up and working well. Its fast and looks fantastic too. If you need the files (softwae + maps + POIs) then I can upload them somewhere (let me know where)..they're close to 1.8GB in size. Also, if you have the YAUTORUN.ini saved with the text 'explorer.exe' then it loads the WinCE 4.2 shell..the complete Windows CE UI with complete navigation, file explorer, one can run programs off the SD Card etc.'

'Here is how I made 'Tomtom' work on my eonon GPS unit with 'SD card Mapping' that displays on the DVD unit.You can easily do this too! First I assume you own a licenced version of 'Tomtom 6' second copy and save the files currently on the SD card to a safe folder on your pc (just incase you cock-up).Now format the sd card and create a folder on it naming it exactly like this ( MobileNavigator ) open this folder and also the folder on you pc that contains your copy of tomtom6. Copy and paste the files from tomtom6 into the folder 'MobileNavigator' on the sd card.' Are you still with me?' OK. Now locate the tomtom.exe file (Two red hands) and rename it 'MobileNavigator.exe' when you have done this close the folder finaly go to the saved original software on your pc and you will find two very small files named 1.YFAUTORUN.INF and 2.autorun.inf copy and paste these two onto the sd card.Power off the gps unit fit SD card and power on. Bingo! it works well for me.
Settings you may need in tomtom. The gps receiver now needs to be set,to do this...
Run the software,Tap screen and select ' change preferences ' find the icon ' show GPS status' select this.Tap configure.Scrole forward to choose 'Other NMEA GPS receiver' and select Set GPS Baud rate to ' 9600' and click done.Select 'Com one'.Click done!
